I take shaggy topics and wrestle them to the ground. By making something easy to understand and immediately relatable, I help audiences take action — whether that’s joining a movement or taking one step in the right direction.

Currently I’m the senior copywriter at Civilian Agency, where I’ve written ads for LA Metro, California Department of Public Health, and the award-winning Never a Bother (youth suicide prevention) and Live Beyond (Adverse Childhood Experiences awareness) campaigns.

With its optimistic design and candid messages — not to mention Megan Thee Stallion joining as spokeswomanNever a Bother has earned 1+ billion impressions and its website has welcomed 2.8 million active users seeking help for themselves and friends.

Previously I was the principal content designer at fintech app Albert — helping users with lost debit cards and writing upgrade flows. I also wrote the UX copy for virtual office platform Katmai Tech leading up to its launch.

Before that? I cowrote a book about houseplants called How to Window Box: Small-Space Plants to Grow Indoors or Out (Clarkson Potter, 2018) and cofounded The Horticult gardening blog. You’ll occasionally see my short fiction in literary journals.

Let’s see, what else? I’m the cofounder of Heavy Petal; we make band tees, but instead of bands…plants. Made in the USA, inspired by your garden and vintage vinyl collection.

Born in Brooklyn and raised in the DC burbs, I now live in Northeast Los Angeles.
